Abstract
Aquatic ecosystems are critical to
biodiversity, human health, and economic activities, yet they face significant
threats from various pollutants. This research paper provides a comprehensive
assessment of the pollution status in aquatic ecosystems, examining the impacts
of different pollutants on water quality, biodiversity, and ecosystem services.
Through a synthesis of current research findings, this paper highlights
critical areas for future research and policy interventions to mitigate the
adverse effects of pollution on aquatic ecosystems.
